Synergy Business Connections | Passionate People with Personality

The Education & Workforce Development Committee works to improve the future quality of your workforce by hosting many quality educational programs through local partnerships.  Meetings include a presentation by featured speakers in the areas of Education, Job Training, Human Resources and Community Programs. The Committee coordinates interaction between businesses and the local school district, Conejo Valley Unified School District, and partners with private schools and colleges in the Conejo Valley area. Jump Start Breakfasts takes place the first Friday of every month (unless otherwise noted), and feature a great buffet, networking opportunities and a chance to sit with a new group of business professionals. 

As an attendee, you'll have 20 seconds to stand and introduce your business. Chamber members appear on the HOT SHEET distributed to all guests. Deadline to be on HOT SHEET; register and pay by 1 p.m. on Thursday before the breakfast.

New Synergy Group Picture - December 5th ** Please dress up and attend this December 5th meeting if you want to be in the new Synergy group picture!   Synergy Business Connections is a Premier Business Networking group for Chamber members at the Greater Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce. Synergy meets the 1st and 3rd Thursday from 10:00-11:00 a.m. ​1st Thursday of the Month is an educational presentation (20-30 minutes 3rd Thursday of the Month is for Synergy member business presentations. 12/03/2019 - Canceled See Dec. 10 -GIFT for Women


*The December 3 GIFT meeting has been moved to Tuesday, December 10 for the GIFT Holiday Mixer Happy Hour! Please see the calendar on December 10 for details. 

GIFT (Gaining Insight for Transition) for Women is a group sponsored by the Greater Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce. Its purpose is to create and support a thriving network for women in transitional stages and empower them to connect with their passions, dreams, and skills through access to a guest lecture series, employment, and volunteer opportunities. Monthly GIFT meetings encourage personal and professional growth. GIFT attendees will have an opportunity to mingle and discuss topics such as women contemplating a career change, mothers considering returning to work, and empty nesters searching for their next step.

Meetings are held at the Chamber facilities from 12:00-1:00 PM on the first Tuesday of each month. 
*GIFT does not meet during the months of June-September and will resume for the month of October. 

GIFT meetings will have two parts: 
I.      A mini-workshop on tools to use during life's many transitions
II.     Guest Speaker - GIFT Storytelling

Chamber members and non-members are welcome. The is no cost to attend.

What makes the Conejo Valley special, unique or interesting?

I like to call Thousand Oaks "the biggest little town in the country." Even though its size is well over 100,000 residents, it still has a small town feel. You are liable to see someone you know every time you go out. I also like the fact that it has protected itself from the blight that has ruined so many other communities in Southern California by restricting things such as billboards, building structure and height, paid parking lots, and corner strip malls.
