Dien T. Le from The Alvarez Firm, Sponsored August 5th Meeting

Dien T. Le from The Alvarez Firm, Sponsored August 5th Meeting

Dien T. Le is driven by success. Even when the COVID pandemic started affecting businesses everywhere, he managed to help his team stay afloat and they ended up being one of the businesses that did not have to close down. They grew by adding 10 attorneys and more staff. They were able to “sustain three months working from home and then decided to come back into the office at their own comfort level". The Alvarez Firm is also expanding locations.

Their main Calabasas office will be expanding to a new location in Camarillo, this will allow them to “grow further and will provide more room to grow if they want to add more attorneys.” Camarillo is expected to be the biggest office space location. The community gets to be a part of this exciting news. Dien explained, “We want to do a nice open house and show everyone that we are doing well and growing.” They also took over other practices for retiring attorneys in Orange County so that they can have satellite offices and get a whole new group of clients.

The firm has been operating successfully for 12 years and, next month, Dien will have been with the firm for two years. He is “fairly new to the firm and it is pretty exciting.” Dien enjoys helping people by doing probate, trust and litigation. He also has experience with business litigation and employment. He is “proud to be able to help individuals and families in their time of need to protect their loved ones, especially when someone passes away.” He prevents people from losing their inheritance over disputes and handles very sensitive family issues. He likes to take care of all his clients' needs.

Dien’s ideal clients are “people who are beneficiaries of trust or people who are having problems with the trustee not doing their job right.” He tries to either “help the beneficiary side or the trustee side, but usually not both at the same time,” because they tend to sometimes fight among themselves. It is sad to see families arguing in these types of life changing situations, so Dien uses compassion and extra care when it comes to his clients' needs. He also helps with elder abuse cases for elders who may not know or understand what they are doing and for people taking advantage of that and abusing the situation.

Dien has benefitted from his Synergy membership. He knew from the very first meeting that it would be the perfect scene for him. It has helped him get new clients throughout the years. Dien says, “what I love about it is it’s sense of community, camaraderie, and commerce, the three c’s, because we are all working together and we want to help promote each other's businesses.” He has also used a lot of the members' services. After his homeowners insurance carrier dropped him unexpectedly, he was able to connect with Moy Serrano with State Farm Insurance and was able to switch plans. He also uses Merley Greenidge from Celebrate Sweetly to send gifts to people. Dien also enjoys the Synergy Troika networking event. He is looking for more partnerships and referrals from financial advisors, CPAs, banks, realtors, and any other people in the financial world. He would like to have more mutual relationships where they can pass referrals back and forth to each other.

A fun fact about Dien is that he loves to travel and has been to almost 35 countries. He enjoys learning about new cultures and seeing historical sights. He said, “If people took the time to get to know each other and embrace each other's differences, they will see how we are not all that much different. We all have the same dreams and goals. We can avoid conflict by talking to each other, meeting each other, and experiencing other cultures together.”

Monica Tautkus Speaker at Sept 16th Meeting

Our Sept 16th Synergy meeting featured a presentation with speaker Monica Tautkus from Ageless Life Design. Monica's presentation covered "Stem Cells Made Simple". Tautkus relays, "One great part of my job here at Ageless Life Design is the opportunity to educate on the healing power of stem cell therapy.  I know Stem Cells sound kinda like a "Star Wars, futuristic, out of reach except to the rich and famous" idea ~ but they're here, they're now and they're for everyone."

Some messages from our group...

What makes the Conejo Valley special, unique or interesting?

I like to call Thousand Oaks "the biggest little town in the country." Even though its size is well over 100,000 residents, it still has a small town feel. You are liable to see someone you know every time you go out. I also like the fact that it has protected itself from the blight that has ruined so many other communities in Southern California by restricting things such as billboards, building structure and height, paid parking lots, and corner strip malls.
