State Farm agent Moy Serrano will sponsor Synergy’s 3rd Thursday meeting this month. Giant, nation-wide insurance companies can sometimes seem generic and uncaring, but Moy Serrano is anything but. With a passion for relationship building and a history of excellent customer service, Moy attracts clients and keeps them--sometimes for multiple generations.
Moy entered the insurance world through his interest in woodworking and contracting. His interest in owning a wood stain and finish company led him to pursue a business degree, and his research into insurance companies brought him to State Farm. “They had their clients’ interest first,” Moy says, and he is continuing this tradition in his own agency.
Clients can trust Moy to be a compassionate guide through all kinds of situations, from making claims to navigating the minutiae of insurance products. He wants to give them the resources they need to make educated decisions. “I just don’t quote and try to make a sale,” Moy says. “I’m more interested in a long-term relationship.”
In the interest of finding those special long-term clients, Moy is focused on growth with referrals, media exposure, and targeted marketing. He’s looking for folks who want the peace of mind of knowing that all their assets--home, auto, business, health--are protected.
He’s also planning to improve the technology and equipment he uses, and he’s on the lookout for a good producer to add to his team. Networking with Synergy members could help him in these efforts, as Moy knows firsthand how rewarding Synergy membership is. It’s not only been a great source for new clients and friendships, but Moy also enjoys referring his clients back to Synergy members because he knows they’ll be taken care of. He’s always trying to forge connections with folks that can help each other out.
Running a successful business takes hard work and constant learning. Moy reads nonfiction business development and self-improvement books like Dean Del Sesto’s Shift Your Thinking. He fills the rest of his spare time with the mentoring group he started, his cars and die-cast collection (Moy is a self-proclaimed “gear head”), and the hands-on hobbies that got him started on the business path: woodworking, leather working, and model building.
We thank Moy Serrano for sponsoring the January 21 meeting, and we’re looking forward to learning more about how he makes an insurance giant feel like family. Be sure to follow social media accounts below in advance of the meeting.
